The Registration Process

Hood Tools provides homeowners with an avenue to explore borrowing the right tool from your neighbor rather than purchasing the tool or attempting to use the wrong tool to get the job done. We aim to bring the tool owner who may rarely use his chain saw, circular saw or hedge trimmer together with their neighbor who has the occasional need for one of these tools. This act of friendship will come back to you in spades, especially when you need to borrow a spade from that same neighbor! The Hood Tools Program

The first thing you need to do is register to be a user. If you're the first from your neighborhood, then you'll need to register your "Hood" to get started.

Step 1. Click on "Log In" on the upper right side of page

Step 2. Choose your state from the drop down menu on the right side of page and hit the Search button.

Step 3. If you don't see your neighborhood listed -click on "Add You Neighborhood". If your neighborhood is listed, skip to step 6.

Step 4. Fill out neighborhood info w/ your email address and you will get an email back w/ further instructions on how to register yourself now that you're "Hood" is registered.

Step 5. After receiving confirm email ---repeat steps 1-3 but this time clicking on your neighborhood.

Step 6. Then register yourself and await another confirm email.

Step 7. Almost done----then go back into HoodTools---Sign in on the Log In Page and go to Create and Add my Tools. Step 8. Final Step---Go thru the 4 categories of Tools and select the tools you would be willing to loan and select them by clicking the box on the left side of page next to the tool.
