Hood Tools was founded in 2009 and is based out of Phoenix, MD. The company is privately held by a long time resident of the Phoenix area and has formed key partnerships with leading companies from around the country.

About Our Company

Hood Tools brings families together with a tool loaner program that is a win-win for all involved. We aim to bring the tool owner who may rarely use his chain saw, circular saw or hedge trimmer together with his neighbor who has a need for one of these tools but also is the owner of several tools that his neighbor does not own but has the similar once a year use requirement. We provide a forum for neighbors to get to know one another and become friends in the pursuit of home improvements that don't kill the wallet.

The Hood Tools Program

The Hood Tools Program provides families an easy way to borrow tools from their neighbors and in return offer their seldom used tools to the neighborhood. This will ultimately become reason and way to connect and build meaningful relationships with other families in their area. Homeowners in the "hood" turn to their neighborhood friends because they understand it is impossible to own every tool or piece of lawn maintenance equipment it takes to keep their home and yard looking beautiful. The advice and friendship to the neighborhood that this program provides allows families to save money on the actual tool and on services they may have had to pay for if it weren't for the tool loan program. Furthermore, the program directs homeowners interested in completing a certain project to the proper resources inside and outside of the neighborhood. - The Hood Tools Program includes the following elements:

• A Hood Tools Newsletter that features information specific to your neighborhood and is emailed to residents each quarter.
• A personal Neighborhood Tool & Project Coach assigned to help residents with home projects and correct tool choices.
• Relationship Manager feature (where available) for Members to manage all of their communications with their new prospects.
